Help Us Keep History Alive

The Edenberga Volunteer Fire Brigade has a history dating back to 1914. Today, our role is no longer to respond when the fire alarm sounds. Instead, we work to preserve the old fire station, our museum and the story of the people who once stood ready to protect and help their local community when fire broke out.

By becoming a member, you help us carry that history forward.

You do not need to have been a firefighter, nor do you need to have any particular connection to Edenberga. All you need is an interest in what we do and a desire to support our work.

Your Membership Makes a Difference

The Edenberga Volunteer Fire Brigade is a small non-profit association, and every member is important to us.

Membership fees contribute towards the running and maintenance of the association and our protected historic fire station, built in 1929. By becoming a member, you are helping us preserve a unique part of our local firefighting heritage for future generations.

The membership fee is SEK 250 per year.Membership runs for one calendar year, from January to December.

As a member, you have the right to vote at the association’s Annual General Meeting, receive regular information about what is happening within the association, and are welcome to take part in the events and activities in which we participate.

You Decide How Involved You Want to Be

Being a member does not mean that you have to take an active role in the association.

You are just as welcome if you simply wish to support our work through your membership.

But perhaps you would like to do a little more?

We are a small association and are always happy to welcome new active members. There are many different ways to get involved, and you do not need to be an expert or have any previous experience.

Perhaps you are interested in historic fire engines and vehicles, local history, historical research, museum work or the preservation of historic buildings. Perhaps you enjoy meeting people and would like to help us at open days, local markets, village events and other activities.

Or perhaps you have completely different skills and ideas that could contribute to our work.

There is a place for you too.

Become Part of Our Continuing Story

It was the efforts of volunteers that originally built the Edenberga Volunteer Fire Brigade.

More than a century later, voluntary commitment still makes it possible for us to preserve the fire station, vehicles, equipment, photographs and stories left behind by those who came before us.

Every new member helps us continue this work.
